NEW YORK (AP) — Mika Zibanejad scored to end a lengthy goal drought on home ice, Gabriel Perreault picked up his first NHL point and the New York Rangers used an offensive outburst to defeat the Nashville Predators 6-3 on Monday night for their first ...
Forsberg leads the Preds with seven goals and 13 points, followed by Ryan O’Reilly with six goals and 12 points. Michael Bunting has four goals and nine points on the season; Erik Haula (3g-6a) and Evangelista (2g-7a) also have nine points apiece. Juuse Saros is 5-5-3 in net; Annunen is 0-3-1.
Panarin is a pass-first player and Raddysh has done a lot of the dirty work to win pucks back for his big-name linemates. His presence has greatly benefited Zibanejad, who has taken nearly 25 shot attempts per 60 minutes of 5-on-5 play when skating with Raddysh. That’s by far the most he’s generated with any regular linemate this season.
Of the contributing problems to the Rangers' current predicament: the shelves are barren in November. Teams don't typically shop difference-makers unless it's around the trade deadline or in the offseason. For a player to be obtainable in the winter, specific circumstances are required that force the situation.
