Michael Jordan is joining the rest of the basketball world in mourning the loss of George Raveling on Tuesday. Raveling, who is a member of the College Basketball and Naismith Memorial Basketball Halls of Fame,

George Raveling, a Hall of Fame basketball coach who played a role in Michael Jordan signing a landmark endorsement deal with Nike, has died.

He also worked security for the 1963 March on Washington, and ended up with Martin Luther King Jr.’s copy of the “I Have a Dream” speech.
