James Wood solidified himself as one of the top power threats in the MLB, becoming the first player since Barry Bonds in 2004 with four intentional walks in a game, in a 7-4 win against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday.

Barry Bonds has been a legendary name in MLB for decades. However, his name has been trending more than usual this season. First, it was Aaron Judge drawing comparisons after his monster April. Then Shohei Ohtani had Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts linking him to Bonds because of his stellar all-around performance.

Bonds was the most recent, in 2004. Along with Bonds and Wood on this list are Andre Dawson, Manny Ramirez, Gary Templeton and Roger Maris. Wood is almost certainly the guy who is least known nationally at the time of his accomplishment.
