Roshni Nadar Malhotra has ascended to the position of India’s third-richest individual after receiving a 47% stake in HCL Corporation and Vama Sundari Investments from her father, Shiv Nadar.

Sebi on Friday exempted promoter Roshni Nadar Malhotra from making open offers in relation to proposed additional share acquisitions in HCL Technologies and HCL Infosystems.

In July 2020, Nadar stepped down as chairman of HCL Technologies, passing the mantle to his daughter, Roshni Nadar Malhotra. He now serves as chairman emeritus and strategic advisor.
