The massive winter storm that has left thousands without power in the southern U.S. has brought heavy snow and whiteout conditions to Connecticut on Sunday.

The meteorologist said that the record for snowfall in Bridgeport, Connecticut on January 25 is four inches, so it is possible that a record could be broken this Sunday, should the snow climb higher than four inches. He also said that it'll be in the 20s temperature-wise this coming week.

For the fourth time this month, Gov. Ned Lamont is activating Connecticut’s Severe Cold Weather Protocol due to a blast of extremely cold air that will impact the state.

The amateur weatherman provides forecasts to his growing Facebook following as a hobby when he's not working his full-time job as a customer quality engineer.

A blast of arctic air is headed into the region on Monday night, leading Connecticut officials to activate the state’s severe cold weather protocol.

Gov. Ned Lamont cited an "uninterrupted, long-duration cold spell that Connecticut hasn't seen in many years."

Due to winter weather conditions, LANtaBus announced in a press release it will operate on Snow Emergency Routing on Tuesday.
