Up to 16 inches of snow possible in NYC, NJ: Latest storm forecast, weekend timeline
A powerful winter storm is expected to bring up to 16 inches of snow and frigid temperatures to the NYC area, including parts of NJ and CT, this weekend.
The forecast said Connecticut on Saturday will experience temperatures in the high teens. However, the rest of the week as well, Jan. 26 through Jan. 30, is expected to see sub-freezing temperatures, with overnight low temperatures in the teens and single digits.
A Severe Cold Weather Protocol is in effect in Connecticut starting at noon on Friday, Jan. 23, and will remain in effect until noon on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
