Atlanta police accused an unnamed rapper of sparking a gang conflict by shooting a music video in rival gang territory, which arrest warrants revealed is Lil Baby, local outlets reported.

In a press conference, Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Commander Ralph Woolfolk, slammed Lil Baby after a shooting on the set of his 2024 music filming ended in two deaths. “He knew he should not have been there,” said Woolfolk. He then vowed to hold Lil Baby responsible for the tragedy.

Last May, police responded to a shooting in the Atlanta neighborhood of Dixie Hills, widely believed to have taken place on the set of a music video for Atlanta’s own Lil Baby. Then on July 2, two 13-year-old boys named Jakody Davis and Lamon Freeman were tragically shot and killed at the latter’s birthday party,

Lil Baby's attorneys Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg have responded to the Atlanta Police Department while distancing the Atlanta rapper (born Dominique Jones) from the alleged gang war and pair of teen murders the APD attempted to tie him to.

Two rival gangs were targeting one another as a result of an earlier shooting during a music video shoot for Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, the witness said. Three men were shot while Jones’ music video was being filmed in northwest Atlanta in May 2024.

Atlanta rapper Lil Baby is pushing back after Atlanta Police Homicide Commander Maj. Ralph Woolfolk suggested that a music video shoot he held last summer contributed to the deaths of two 13-year-old boys.

Attorneys Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg deny Lil Baby’s involvement, calling the APD’s claims “nonsense” and criticizing its approach as “unprofessional.”
