The Eastern Illinois Panthers face the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide, led by quarterback Ty Simpson, on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Alabama football still controls its own destiny with three games remaining on its 2025 schedule. The Crimson Tide is in position to earn a first-round bye if they win out, and a loss to either Oklahoma or Auburn is not expected to keep them out of the playoff.

However, this also gives UGA one more win on their schedule resume, leaving both Alabama and Georgia tied with 31 wins if Arkansas upsets Missouri. At this point, the tie breaker takes Alabama and Georgia to the SEC Championship, and gives Alabama the top seed since the Tide holds the head-to-head over the Bulldogs.

It's Tuesday, so you know what that means: it's time for the College Football Playoff rankings, and for the committee to be wrong once again. Everyone was waiting to see where the committee would rank the Alabama Crimson Tide after a brutal loss at home to a ranked Oklahoma Sooners team.
