More than 170 million people across the United States, from the Mexican border to the Canadian border are under cold weather alerts ahead of a crippling winter storm expected to sweep through the south from Texas to Georgia,

An extreme cold warning is in effect for several counties, but all of north Georgia will experience the dangerous cold on Monday morning. Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says temperatures are starting off in the teens and 20s. Wind gusts 20-30 mph will drop the wind chill below zero at times over parts of north Georgia.

Sunday was the coldest high of the season so far. DFW only spent two hours above freezing. There has been only one other morning that has been colder than Sunday. Temperatures got down to the low 20s across the metroplex and it'll be even colder Sunday night.
