The Washington Capitals found themselves in a fast-paced showdown with the Columbus Blue Jackets, and under siege early and often. That said, they busted out at exactly the right time, and thanks to Logan Thompson, Alex Ovechkin and more, pulled out a win.

The injury-riddled Kraken fell behind by three goals after two periods and never threatened the Capitals in a 4-1 loss on the road, their second straight, on Tuesday.
