Call of Duty used to be a franchise that would stick to its tone, but in a post-Fortnite world, every game wants a piece of the transmedia pie. Starting in January 2025, Call of Duty will get a crossover with Squid Game, the hit Netflix series.

Call of Duty has confirmed limited-time modes and exclusive skins are arriving as part of the anticipated Squid Game collaboration.

Call of Duty brings a collab with Squid Game in January and if done right, it’ll bring the best new mode in years.

To announce the collaboration, Activision released a brief teaser trailer this morning. The trailer lasts just 28 seconds, during which a soldier discovers a card featuring the same familiar circle, triangle, and square markings that appear on invitations in the Squid Game series.
