Venice Film Festival kicks off awards season and players are bowing on the canals, including 'Bugonia,' 'Jay Kelly,' 'Frankenstein' and 'The Smashing Machine.'

Kathryn Bigelow’s new film, A House Of Dynamite, might not fall into the horror genre but it might as well because it is more frightening than any of them. The Oscar winning director and producer of 2008 Best Picture winner The Hurt Locker and 2012 Best Picture nominee Zero Dark Thirty,

Idris Elba, Rebecca Ferguson, Gabriel Basso, Jared Harris, Tracy Letts, Anthony Ramos, Moses Ingram, Jonah Hauer-King, Greta Lee and Jason Clarke star in the film that opens globally Oct. 10.

Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania said on Thursday she hopes the rapturous reception given to her new film "The Voice of Hind Rajab" at the Venice Film Festival would help carry its harrowing story to audiences worldwide.
