When speaking to the media on Monday, head coach Mike McDaniel revealed that the team will trot Tagovailoa back out there for the Dolphins' Week 8 game against the Atlanta Falcons. However the fourth-year head coach didn't exactly sound too confident.
In a new mic'd up clip from Sunday's win over the Dolphins, Hickman can be heard muttering, "Give it to me Tua" under his breath, just before intercepting what would be quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's third pick of the day. Simply magical.
The Dolphins couldn't get anything going offensively, as Tagovailoa averaged 4.3 yards per attempt. Tagovailoa has 11 touchdowns to 10 interceptions and is averaging 6.4 yards per attempt with an 82.8 rating. He's struggled without Tyreek Hill and a poor offensive line.
Tagovailoa entered the league in 2020 as the anointed franchise savior. Since then, his career has been a roller coaster of concussions, coaching drama, public doubt, and fleeting flashes of All-Pro play, followed up by, well, what fans are witnessing now: utter on-field incompetence.
Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle were as bad as the weather on Sunday for their fantasy football owners in Week 7 of NFL action.
