As the public address announcer at Benchmark International Arena belted the final tones of ‘This is the final minute of the period’ on Thursday night, Tampa Bay Lightning fans appeared due for at least one point banked in the standings and a period of overtime hockey.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have made another roster move ahead of their Oct. 23 contest against the Chicago Blackhawks, as they recalled forward Scott Sabourin from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

Tampa Bay’s penalty kill allowed a first-period goal (just the third PK goal allowed this year), but the PK came up with four successful kills in the third period—including a five-on-three and a four-minute high-sticking double-minor—to keep the contest temporarily tied at two.
