On Thursday at 3:04 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory in effect until 10 p.m. for Sussex and Morris counties.

New Jersey residents are bracing for a cold and windy day on Tuesday, Jan. 7, with high temperatures barely reaching freezing across the state, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly.

Renewable Redevelopment. LLC, a subsidiary of alternative energy company US Wind, has filed an appeal in Delaware Superior Court challenging Sussex County’s denial of a planned electric substation near Millsboro.

On Wednesday at 3:06 p.m. a wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Friday at 1 a.m. for Franklin, Middlesex, Essex, Hampshire, Hampden and Suffolk counties.

On Tuesday at 10:52 a.m. the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory in effect until Thursday at noon for Cambria and Somerset counties.
