Meta’s (META) aggressive push to dominate artificial intelligence (AI) has reached a new apex, with the company reportedly offering signing bonuses of up to $100 million to lure top talent away from OpenAI,

The AI talent wars are heating up as Meta attempts to poach talent from OpenAI with $100 million signing bonuses and even higher salaries — but OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says the company's "best people" have turned down Meta's offer.

While Meta had sought to hire "a lot of people" from OpenAI, "so far none of our best people have decided to take them up on that," Sam Altman said.
