Though officials say that the sightings pose no threat to the public, they have yet to provide any concrete information about the origin of the flying objects.

Gov. Phil Murphy says they pose no known threat, but Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew is calling for the drones to be shot down.

The drones have been seen above critical infrastructure like reservoirs, rail stations and military bases. The governor says there is "no known threat," but the FBI is still investigating.
