'No Kings' protest in Downtown Austin draws more than 20,000 to Texas Capitol, Auditorium Shores
In all, more than 2,500 demonstrations took place nationwide in the largest mobilization of protests since President Trump returned to office.
Millions of people participated in "No Kings" rallies nationwide to protest the Trump Administration's policies, with the vast majority of the over 2,000 marches remaining peaceful despite political warnings.
Organizers said some 2,600 protests were planned in the U.S. on Saturday. The protests were largely peaceful, as demonstrators united in their stated aim to safeguard the country's democratic values.
The latest episode of "Saturday Night Live" featured President Trump declaring the No Kings protests are actually a celebration of George Santos.
As many as 100,000 were expected to demonstrate in Los Angeles on Saturday as the second round of "No Kings" protests took place across the nation.
"No Kings” protests are planned for Dallas, but also North Texas suburbs, including Frisco, Arlington, Denton, Flower Mound, Forney, Garland and McKinney.
