Vincent Desharnais was traded to the San Jose Sharks by the Pittsburgh Penguins for a fifth-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft. The 28-year-old defenseman had three points, all assists, in 34 games for the Vancouver Canucks before he was traded to Pittsburgh with Danton Heinen,

Desharnais played just 10 games with the Penguins after he was acquired at the end of January in a trade with Vancouver.
