The Los Angeles Lakers made one big change before the second half to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday night.

The reserve center, who played 14 minutes in the season-opening loss to Golden State on Tuesday, was ruled out for Friday’s playoff rematch with Minnesota because of left knee soreness.

Rebounding, a big weakness for the Lakers this past spring, will be key for them in Friday's matchup. Unfortunately, they will have to go to war with a smaller roster than usual, as backup center Jaxson Hayes will not play due to left knee soreness.
