Gibson spent five years with the Wolfpack, where he helped guide the team to multiple Top 25 finishes and develop now-NFL linebacklers.

Shortly after Southern Mississippi announced the hiring of Charles Huff, Marshall University confirmed that Boone County native Tony Gibson is the 32nd head coach in program history. Gibson will be introduced at a press conference at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, in Encova Auditorium at the Brad D. Smith Center for Business and Innovation.
