On Kishtwar flash flood disaster, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Counter Insurgency Force (CIF) – Delta, Major General A P S Bal said, "...All the security forces are trying their best to rescue as many people as possible from the area affected by the cloudburst.

Kishtwar flash floods swept away a makeshift market, a security outpost, 16 houses, government buildings, 3 temples, a 30m bridge, and over a dozen vehicles.
