After missing out on the college football postseason last year, the Florida Gators will once again be playing in a bowl game thanks to the seven regular-season wins earned by Billy Napier and Co. The clincher came two weeks ago when the Orange and Blue upset

Florida football awaits its bowl matchup after finishing the regular-season schedule with a 7-5 record. After finishing the regular season with three consecutive wins including a dominant beat down against their in-state rival, the Florida State Seminoles, the Gators are hoping to land a good bowl game matchup.

The Florida Gators (7-5) certainly present an attractive option for bowl hosts, considering that UF closed the regular season on a three-game win streak behind freshman quarterback DJ Lagway, who is 5-1 as a starter. Representatives of the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl attended UF's 31-11 win over Florida State last Saturday night in Tallahassee.

Florida has only played Louisville three times, the most recent being the 2013 Sugar Bowl. The Gators lost that game 33-23. The Cardinals finished the season 8-4 with a 5-3 ACC record. Their best win was over Clemson, 33-21, on Nov. 2.
