Dallas worker pinned by falling burial vault dies from injuries, Dallas Fire-Rescue says
A worker was killed after a burial vault fell on him Monday afternoon at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. The adult male worker was pinned by the heavy vault before being rescued and transported to a hospital with serious lower-body injuries. The cause of the fatal accident is currently under investigation by authorities.

Two firefighters hospitalized after intense Dallas condo fire damages top floor, officials say
Crews evacuated the building and called a second alarm as flames tore through the roof of the three-story complex on Gaston Avenue.
Firefighters are working to put out a blaze at an apartment complex at 4502 Gaston Ave., Dallas Fire-Rescue confirmed.
Firefighters arrived at the RV in the 10300 block of Eastwood Drive at about 6:21 a.m. Sunday and saw heavy smoke coming from the vehicle, according to Jason Evans, a spokesman for Dallas Fire-Rescue.
At about 2:40 p.m., Dallas Fire-Rescue crews responded to a 911 call reporting a fire at the complex located at 4502 Gaston Avenue. The fire department’s public information officer Jason Evans said the fire was coming from the third-floor balcony, and it had already “spread rapidly” to the roof by the time firefighters arrived at the scene.
