INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A winter storm that hit central Indiana on Saturday and Sunday resulted in significant snowfall, with Columbus and Owensburg receiving 14.8 inches and Indianapolis totaling 11.1 inches, the National Weather Service at Indianapolis said Sunday night.

A swath of 10 to 14 inches of snow blanketed central Ohio, with a few locally heavier totals in the southwest, with up to 17 inches at Miamisburg, south of Dayton.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – A massive weekend winter storm that shut down central Ohio is leading to schools being closed on Monday. The storm was expected to leave about a foot of snow on the ground, with temperatures remaining so cold in the upcoming week that it will have no immediate chance to melt.
A winter storm hit central Indiana on Saturday and Sunday, resulting in significant snowfall, with Columbus receiving 14.8 inches and Indianapolis totaling 11.1 inches. It was the biggest snow in Indianapolis since 2014.
Many of Columbus' roads may be passable by the end of Jan. 27, a city official said at a Jan. 26 press conference, after Winter Storm Fern.
