The Oklahoma Sooners ranked inside the top 10 in the preseason USA TODAY Sports Women's Basketball Coaches Poll.

The 2025-26 women's college basketball season is almost here. Here's how preseason USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 look:

Unbeaten Georgia Tech jumped into the top 10 this week at No. 7 and controls its own destiny in the College Football Playoff conversation. Another surge up the rankings came from Vanderbilt, who squashed previously 10th-ranked LSU with its first win over the Tigers since 1990. The Commodores are ranked 12th, up six spots from last week's mark.

In the AP poll, the Spartans came in at No. 23 overall. In the coaches poll, they did receive votes, 64 in total, but were the No. 28 ranked team overall. That's a pretty sizable five-spot difference in the polls.

The Duke Blue Devils Basketball team is looking to be the top team in college basketball this season. They recently got ranked on the coaches' poll.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s basketball team is ranked 20th in the Preseason USA Today Women’s Basketball Coaches Poll, it was announced by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association on Thursday.

The Michigan High School Football Coaches Association has released its latest poll. In Division 1, Cass Tech, which had taken the top spot from Detroit Catholic Central last week, falls to No. 2 with Catholic Central back on top of the poll. Grand Blanc jumps up to No. 3.

Graduate forward Bryce Hopkins made the Big East’s preseason first team, while sophomore guard Ian Jackson was named to the second team and sophomore wing Joson Sanon and senior forward Dillon Mitchell landed on the third team.
