Ciara Doherty and Claire Brock, the two presenters of Virgin Media Television's The Tonight Show, are to leave the broadcaster after this weekend's election coverage.

Both presenters confirmed in separate statements that the Tonight Show election special will be their last appearances on the show.

Ms Doherty has worked with Virgin Media for 14 years, working on the Ireland AM show before taking up a role presenting The Tonight Show in 2020. Ms Doherty and fellow presenter Claire Brock will both leave the show. “I’ve decided to move on from late nights and early mornings to begin a new adventure,” Ms Doherty said on Instagram.
