Perhaps the showpiece game of the opening weekend pits Arsenal against Manchester United, a game that was once a title decider, now pitting second from last season against 15th. It does not get much easier for the Gunners from their on out with their 38 game league campaign seeing two of their toughest away games in their first six.

Manchester United will host Arsenal in the first Super Sunday clash of the 2025/26 Premier League season, with Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and FA Cup winners Crystal Palace also playing on a bumper opening weekend.

United will head to Anfield to take on the newly crowned Premier League champions on 18 October, with the return fixture at Old Trafford scheduled during the crucial period on 2 May. Their home showdown with Manchester City is slated for 17 January.
