A Florida man was gored by a bison after coming too close to the animal in Yellowstone National Park, officials said Wednesday.

A bison attacked a tourist earlier this week in Yellowstone National Park after the man got too close. The incident occurred on May 4 in the Lake Village area of the park near popular attractions such as Yellowstone Lake and the Old Faithful geyser.

The 47-year-old man from Cape Coral got too close to the wild animal, and it attacked him, officials said.
