Traffic around the Palace of Westminster in London came to a standstill on Saturday as emergency services tried to reach a man who climbed the Big Ben tower holding a Palestinian flag.

A protester who scaled London's Big Ben waving a Palestinian flag was brought down safely after 16 hours. Streets were closed and several emergency vehicles lined up outside of the building as people watched from below.
