The Houston Cougars went on the road and picked up a huge win over the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday night.

Conner Weigman ran for a career-high 111 yards and accounted for three touchdowns and Ethan Sanchez added a 26-yard field goal for the Cougars, who snapped Arizona State’s 10-game home winning streak. Quarterback Sam Leavitt lost for the first time in 11 career home starts for the Sun Devils.

But the redshirt sophomore left the game against Houston at Mountain America Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 25, with 8:44 left in the first quarter after gaining 14 yards on a keeper that got the ball down to the 42. He was tackled and hit the ground hard, where he stayed for a short time before walking off.
