Protesters breach security at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, removing the national flag and causing property damage amid rising tensions over minority oppression in Bangladesh.

A group of protesters demonstrating near the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission broke through the police cordon and barged into the office premises in Agartala of India.

Student leaders emphasised that the incident in Agartala violated the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961, which protects the inviolability of diplomatic missions. They also criticised India's approach, noting that the Indian government has maintained relations with the Awami League, but not with the people of Bangladesh.
