"This was my second vacation with Carnival Cruise Lines, and unfortunately, I may consider other options moving forward. \n\nMy first cruise was on the Carnival Firenze. At the time, I had nothing to compare it to, but now after sailing on the Carnival Radiance, I can see the differences more clearly.\n\nCustomer Service: The Firenze was consistently clean, but customer service was lacking. In contrast, the Radiance truly impressed me with its staff. Bartenders remembered my name and drink order, and I never had an empty glass. The attentiveness was outstanding compared to the indifference I experienced on the Firenze.\n\nCleanliness: Unfortunately, the Radiance fell short in this area. I frequently noticed a sewage odor near the Red Frog Rum Bar and the Serenity deck bar. Restrooms also needed more frequent cleaning.\n\nDining Experience: The food itself was delicious--when the kiosks were open. It wasn't clear that Guy's Pig & Anchor wasn't operating at the same time as other venues, so we missed the chance to try it. We dined nightly at the Sunset Restaurant, where the food was excellent but the service painfully slow. Entertainment schedules often conflicted with dinner, and on the last night, two appetizers were missed entirely. We didn't complain, because the delays left us rushing to catch a show. Additionally, drink service needs improvement--cocktails should be offered before dinner rather than only when requested.\n\nExcursion Issues: We booked a $200 excursion in Cabo that promised a beach day with a two-hour open bar. Unfortunately, we never received proper instructions on when or where to meet the water taxi or bus. Times kept changing, and when we tried to board, we were asked for tickets that never appeared in our Carnival Hub app. While I appreciate the refund, the experience was frustrating.\n\nEntertainment & Atmosphere: We hadn't realized this cruise would be so child-focused. Much of the entertainment catered to kids, which meant missing out on traditional Thanksgiving football. The only viewing options were the smoky casino or the overcrowded Heroes Bar. Pools and jacuzzis were constantly filled with children, leaving little space for adults to relax. The Serenity deck had only one jacuzzi--there should be at least two or three more to accommodate adults.\n\nFinal Thoughts: Carnival does offer fun cruises, and I enjoyed aspects of the trip, especially the customer service on the Radiance. However, the combination of cleanliness issues, slow dining service, excursion mishaps, and lack of adult-friendly spaces makes me question whether the hassle is worth it. \n\nCarnival, please do better"

Please explain Cruise Next vs. Cruise First. - Cruise Critic
In the Cruise First fine print it says it's not applicable on Sail-Away rates. Is every basic room called Sail-Away? For US customers Sail-Away is a cabin without FreeAtSea perks. (In Europe it's just the lowest sub-category in each category and we can buy FreeAtSea the same way as we do in all other categories.

BEWARE: Promotion glitch/ scam - Viking Ocean - Cruise Critic
We were thrilled yesterday ( April 27, 2025) to discover that a Viking promotion for $500 shipboard credit and free beverage package had been extended to 2025 cruises as part of the “end of month” deal. There were still rooms available for a Norway cruise beginning June 1, 2025. We had seen that ...

Strange "Free Cruise" Opportunity Mailed to the House - What's the ...
So I went to the mail today and was sifting through the ads and junk mail. One item caught my eye. It was a request to participate in a "travel survey" and by participating in this survey I would receive a cruise of between 3 and 7 days and associated airfare. It further went on to say that this ...
